" Since the nervous system participates in all disease processes that we know of, by eliminating the neuromuscular component of that process you will see miracles occurring through your therapist's hands."
-Paul St. John, LMT

"Skeletal muscle tension is the most common cause of pain."
-J.J. Bonica MD, taken from Time Magazine

Massage Services

Therapeutic Massage and Advanced Bodywork
The Right Touch of Connecticut signature massage can be applied with light, medium or deep pressure and is great for relief from stress and anxiety; or to relieve nasty knots and chronic pain. Here we can use soothing strokes to ease sore muscles, or we can use more advanced techniques such as myofacial release, deep friction, trigger point release, and stretching to address your specific pain issues.
30 min. $45, 1 hr. $70, 1 ½hrs. $100

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy®
Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy®
Experience the deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet. The emphasis is on relaxation through smooth, flowing, gliding deep compressive effleurage strokes. The therapist uses body weight to apply pressure, directly through their feet, to the thick layers of muscle of the back, providing deep relaxation and stimulating the lymphatic system. Best for soothing chronic low back and neck pain. (Ashi=deep, atsu=feet)
1-hour: $75 1 ½ hour: $110

Sacred Stone Massage
A powerful therapy using heated stones applied to the body in ways to bring about relief to sore stiff muscles, release tension, and bring about a more balanced flow of energy.
30 min. $50, 1 hr. $80, 1 ½ hrs. $120

Pregnancy Massage
This work is aimed at relieving some of the physical and emotional stresses women experience during pregnancy, using special positions, massage strokes and points.
30 min. $45, 1 hr. $70, 1 ½ hrs. $100

Myofascial Release Therapy
Fascia is the connective tissue which surrounds muscles, organs and bones throughout the body. Slow, deep, and intentional strokes are used to mobilize this tissue, improving structural and functional potential. $45, 1 hr $75, 1 ½ hrs $110

Reflexology
Concentrating on reflex points in your feet that correlate to organs and systems of the body, the therapist applies thumb and finger pressure along with massage techniques to induce relaxation, rejuvenation and well-being. Includes warm herbal footbath.
½ hour: $45.00, 1 hour: $75.00, 1 ½ hour: $110.00

Orthopedic Assessment
This session is specifically designed to assess and treat occupational, sports and other pain and injury conditions. Using a wide variety of treatment approaches for soft-tissue dysfunction it addresses pain and injury to those tissues primarily involved in locomotion: muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursa, nerves, fascia, etc. A trained therapist in orthopedic massage will understand what tissues are involved and be able to assess their status depending on the physiological nature of the pain or injury and will determine what treatment will be most effective for them.
½ hour: $45 - 1 hour: $75

Clinical Sports Massage
Focuses on the muscles primarily used in the activity performed. Firm and vigorous techniques designed to ready an athlete by reducing anxiety and enhancing performance by decreasing chance of injury and relieving soreness.

Trigger Point Therapy
Gradual sustained pressure applied to specific "hot spots" in the muscles which are painful to the touch and cause local or radiating pain. This technique is highly effective in releasing muscle knots and tension.

Neuromuscular Therapy
Specific soft-tissue massage work that helps to relieve chronic pain and structural dysfunction by balancing the nervous system with the musculo-skeletal system to break the pain-spasm cycle. A combination of deep tissue friction, joint mobilization trigger point techniques and myofascial therapy us used to relieve pain and increase range of motion.
